Week-end Switch : Explore both Side of Rope.

Event Date:

May 10, 2025

Event Time:

1:00 pm

Event Location:

Every other month, I will host a rope switch workshop, inspired by my experience with the Aikido approach to learning. While switching is not mandatory, it is highly encouraged, and you’re more than welcome to join in.

How does it work? You can switch roles within your pair or with others in the group. The aim is to foster adaptability, mutual support, and a comprehensive understanding of our practice. Changing perspectives within the workshop offers a powerful strategy for growth.

The workshop’s content will be tailored to the group’s dynamics and experience level. However, I plan to include suspension work as part of the curriculum. Over the course of a year, we will explore all the fundamental patterns, both on the floor and in suspension. We’ll also dive into the movement in rope, one-rope techniques, basic aesthetics, and playful interaction.

The ultimate goal remains the same: to cultivate a deeply personal relationship with the rope, grounded in solid concepts and creative expression.

Throughout the workshop, I will share my knowledge, skills, and experience from both perspectives—whether you’re the rigger (Tori) or the model (Uke).
